Participating facilities are in the midst of the rating process, which takes up to 18 months. They complete a self-study, create an improvement plan, and implement the plan before requesting a rating. These facilities are working on improvements to benefit children and families - ask them where they are in the process! These facilities are listed below, but the columns for each Quality Standard are blank. These columns will be filled in when the facility earns a rating.

STAR Rated facilities have completed all the steps and have earned a STAR rating. Check out the rating and STAR Rating Report next to each rated facility. The Report shows every quality indicator in the QRIS and those that have been verified in the facility.

HOVER THE MOUSE over each column heading!  Learn about each Quality Standard and how it contributes to high quality child care.

A STAR rating reflects a child care facility's performance on criteria at the point in time when the rating was made. STAR ratings should serve as one piece of information; IdahoSTARS recommends that parents and other interested parties seek multiple sources of information when evaluating and choosing a facility. In no event shall Idaho AEYC or IdahoSTARS, the University of Idaho, its Regents, or any of their officers, directors, employees, or agents, be liable for any injury or damages in connection with usage or reliance on the STAR rating system.
