You can apply for incentives once you are a part of the PDS Registry and have completed 15 hours of IdahoSTARS approved training or 1 college semester credit towards Early Childhood Education within 12 months from your registration date. After your first 12 month anniversary, and each anniversary thereafter, you are eligible to apply for an anniversary incentive. Once you are approved for an incentive you will receive a check in the mail.

Note: You may only fill out the Anniversary Incentive request once a year.
Anniversary incentives will only be awarded within 1 month after your Professional Development System anniversary date (the date on your placement letter).

To receive an Anniversary Incentive read the following steps:

Step 1: Check eligibility

• Must be employed in an early childhood care and education setting for at least 12 consecutive months prior to your request for incentives.
• Work in a child care setting that cares for children while parent(s) or guardian(s) work or attend training/school for at least 15 hours per week.
• Work in a program that operates full time.
• Earn $15.00/hour or less.
• Child care providers Only – Provide regularly scheduled, direct care and/or education with children in their classroom at least 15 hours/week or 780 hours/year.
• Hours/Credits: Complete a minimum of 15 hours of IdahoSTARS approved training or 1 college semester credit towards an Early Childhood degree within 12 months since the first month of your anniversary date.
  • All training and college credits are date sensitive. If you have completed more hours/credits than the minimum, you must submit all of the hours/credits completed in the 12 month period with the request
  • All training must be divided over the Early Care and Education Ten Core Knowledge Components for Early Care and Education ()
    • IdahoSTARS encourages at least 3 training hours in Special Needs Category subgroups (see component 9 of the Ten Core Knowledge Components for Early Care and Education ()
    • Duplicate training will not be accepted

Step 2: Fill out and Attach

• Fill out the Anniversary and Level Move Incentive Form ()
  Child care providers Only - As the Child Care Provider your Owner/Director must fill out and sign Section D of the form.
• Checking the Box for: Anniversary Incentive on the first page of the form.
• Attach proof that trainings/college credits were completed with certificates or verification from the IdahoSTARS Training Office from attendance sheets or college transcripts.
• Attach the following documents:
  • Current Child Care Facility License (City or State)
  • Current Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Current Child Care Workers License (if applicable)
• Attach a current Pay Stub

Step 3: Mail

Mail the form and all required documents to:

Note:

• Please do not send any documentation to the IdahoSTARS Registry office until after your Anniversary date.
• Requests must be postmarked no later than the last day of the month following the month of your Anniversary. For example, if the date you first entered the PDS Registry was March 27th (see the date on your Initial Acceptance Letter), you would have until April 30th to mail your request for Incentive(s) form and required documents to the Registry Office.
